While mind control might sound like something from a sci-fi movie or a fantasy, new technology could soon make it a reality.

Mind control: just how awesome would it be if you were able to control objects simply by using your mind?  Well, you don’t need superpowers for this to be a reality any more. In the near future, new technology like Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) will allow you to do just that.

BCI are devices that connect your brain to a computer that is able read your mind, allowing you to move objects. It has many uses and it is especially important for those with disabilities.

In this video, Julia from Dnews explains just how Brain-Computer Interfaces work. BCI is definitely making headway in science and medicine, as we are already reaping the benefits from this technology, for example, by helping paraplegics walk again or by allowing them to browse the internet or read an email simply by using of their minds. It’s awesome!
