Alcohol and weed influence the brain and body very differently — a combination of the two has some interesting effects. 

Medicinal marijuana is often prescribed to chemotherapy patients since pot is known to help reduce nausea and vomiting. However, this beneficial effect can turn into a dangerous one when there's alcohol in the equation. When an individual has alcohol poisoning, the body gets the excess alcohol out via vomiting, but a combination of alcohol and weed may prevent the body from doing so.
